A week here in Croatia and it has been a dream. If I needed any highlight or demonstration of the validity of my current endeavour, then yesterday was it. Bo and I enjoyed a civilised breakfast at our favourite haunt and then, in the blistering sunshine, walked to our favourite cafe bar on a shaded tree lined avenue, where we met two friends of ours, for drinks and conversation.
Before I go any further, let me confirm: On my side the date was largely platonic, as are all ‘dates’ I am having in Zagreb right now, even those I meet from street stops. I am street stopping on the basis of people being cool and interesting. I have a girlfriend and I talk about her proudly, because she is a wonderful girl. I have her picture in my wallet and I make sure everyone sees it. I am also perfectly happy to spend additional time in the company of other lovely young women on the basis of friendship. That’s my choice. I can’t speak for them, but for me it’s more of a platonic thing. Of course, if anything develops in the future, if my circumstances change, well that’s to be seen, but for now, I just like making friends with all manner of amazing women.
